Thanks for volunteering to help us with the ethical repository list.
Although it hasn't seen any updates in a while, the process is fairly
simple. We just need people to check how Gitlab has changed in the
intervening years relative to the different criteria points, and
report back to the list. After that, we ask for a second person to
confirm their findings. Once it's verified, the FSF can make the
change on the page.
Adding new hosting services is a little more involved, but follows the
same process. Someone checks how well a service measures up to each
point of the criteria, and someone independent of them verifies their
work.
