Sorry, yes. Wired gigabit ethernet connections
On windows end WinXP OS 3.6 Ghz 2 GB ram
On opensolaris end: version-2009.6:
Athlon64 +3400 2.8 Ghz 3gb ram
The opensolaris machine ran the the rdiff-backup process.

I don't know exactly but approximately somewhat less than 1/2 of the
time rdiff took. Probably around 2 hrs. via rsync. So maybe the
rdiff route took something like 300 % longer.
