Hi,
I haven't tried one personally, but when I researched this a few months
ago, the Infrant ReadyNAS NV+ looked like a good option, which supports
ext3. It uses RAID by default, but you may be able to configure it
otherwise - take a look:

Disks are cheap, though, and it seems like RAID 5 cost is worth the
peace of mind - just my opinion, though.
