Package: rdiff-backup
Version: 1.1.5-1
When rdiff-backup makes a backup to an external USB hard drive or to a
flash card connected by USB, the backed up files have uppercase
letters changed into code numbers. If I back up one directory on my
local hard disk to another local directory, uppercase is okay.
Examples of conversions when backing up from local hard disk to
USB-connected media:
Henry becomes 00;072enry
Record Shop becomes ;082ecord ;083hop

becomes
a;065_b;066_c;067_d;068_e;069_f;070_g;071_h;072_i;073_j;074_k;075_l;076_m;077_n;078_o;079_p;080_q;081_r;082_s;083_t;084_u;085_v;086_w;087_x;088_y;089_z;090
lowercase is not affected. For filenames with lots of capitals, you
get huge new filenames chock full of numbers that are incomprehensible.
