Well wouldn't it be nicer just to have rdiff-backup not crash on
sockets (don't worry I will add the fix soon)? BTW, there is already
--exclude-device-files and --exclude-special-files. I don't see why
someone would not want sockets in particular (aside from the crashing
bit of course). Even --exclude-special-files is kind of suspect---it
was added because you couldn't back up fifos, sockets, etc., to a
fat disk. But now (in 0.11.1) that you can, maybe that option should
be removed.
