It requires a current ranger with up-to-date configs.

If you use a stable version of ranger, install the git version instead.
On Arch Linux there's a ranger-git AUR package for that, otherwise you
need to `git clone https://github.com/hut/ranger` and `sudo make install`.

If you have a recent git version already, maybe your configs are out of
date?  In particular, the "set" command in commands.py has been altered
recently, so deleting/updating commands.py should solve this.
