In gconf editor for org->gnome->media handling->automount:
If set to true, then Nautilus will automatically mount media such as
user-visible hard disks and removable media on start-up and media insertion.

About thunar, from arch wiki:
Thunar uses gvfs for automounting, see GVFS for details on getting it working.

Krusader has some options (Automount file systems)
http://www.krusader.org/documentation/konfig-advanced.html

and so on..

So if you argue its not a job of file manager, then why all those file managers
implemented such features ? I understand your opinion tho, and it looks perfect
for plugin.

Thanks for suggestions and your own implementations. I dont think Roman's
solution is reasonable for situations I described - random usb disks from
colegues every few days... I will examine udisk glue in detail.
