[Ranger-users] config files ?

In the section Customization of the wiki it says:
After startup, Ranger creates a directory ~/.config/ranger/. You can
copy the default configuration files to this directory with the
command

ranger --copy-config=all
=================
I get "ranger command unknown", from terminal as well as within ranger.
I do have the dir ~/.config/ranger and ranger is working (it's in
~/bin/) so what didn't I understand?
