Hello,
I think I understood what the user wants in the debian #260664 bug.
He complains that some things work when QUILT_PATCHES is not set and some
other fail. He complains about needing to set this variable in all terminals
working on the tree.
He don't want to set this in ~/.quiltrc either since he [may] work on
several project, each of them needing another value.
My proposal to fix it is to add a link in the .pc directory to the right
directory (by default: ln -s ../patches .pc/.QUILT_PATCHES). That way, you
only have to setup this variable when creating the .pc dir, for example, and
the other commands won't require it anymore.
Andreas, would you accept a patch implementing this?
