Yes I know, this is how I spotted it - by checking which patches has been
applied to qemu master branch.
Or do you perhaps mean something else by `-stable`?

Current active qemu stable series (branches) are 7.2.x (stable-7.2, staging-7.2)
and 9.0.x (stable-9.0, staging-9.0).
