Hi Thomas,

i can confirm it work in pseries a sow a demo video from talos where qemu was working on power8 in passthru with debian  "but they write about patch of the kernel in radeon module"
i use their patch too and i  been tested on my vfio, iommu capable Freescale Qoriq machine and there there is an issue when i try to isolating the gpu. when i isolate i have the black scren, the same if i use the vmm with libvirt.
On PowerMac iommu is generic and there is not vfio module in kernel it mean no passthru.
Now im testing if is possible use virtio vga with virgl on big endian where i have Qemu 2.8 and virgl compiled and "working" on Fedora Server 25 PPC64 on both BE machine Qoriq and Quad G5.

It should work with the "pseries" machine ... not sure about the other
machine types, though (like the Mac or embedded machines).
