Hello,

Is there someone with access to a PPC Mac that can run MorphOS (preferably PowerMac G4 with AGP graphics aka PowerMac3,1) who could get some debug logs? It's been a while without news on this but I'm still working on it slowly when I can find some free time. Currently I'm trying to make USB detected so we would get keyboard and mouse. I'm stuck at a point where some info from real hardware might help so some testing would be needed.

If you have a PowerMac3,1 (or logs from another Mac model may still be
useful) and willing to help but have no MorhphOS yet, you can get a demo iso from MorphOS's website. No installation is needed, it can run from the
iso.

To get a debug log MorphOS should be booted with some options, as
described here:
http://www.biclodon.com/documentation/morphosdebug/chapter1.html

Additionally, enabling pci debugging is needed so it should be booted with
something like:

boot cd:,\mac_ppc32\boot.img debug ramdebug ed=pci

from the OpenFirmware prompt you get by holding Command+Option+O+F while
booting.

Probably the easiest is via ramdebug. You should find the output after
booting with the GetRAMDebugLog command. Also include the model of your machine and maybe the output of USBErrorLog command as well if you can.

No need to spam this list with logs, you can send them to me only.

Thank you,
BALATON Zoltan

I want to help, but I have an iMac G5. Every attempt I have made to boot the iso file has failed. I even tried this:
boot cd:,\mac_ppc64\boot.img debug ramdebug ed=pci

Wish I could help.
