Subject: | Is there auto-ballooning in QEMU/KVM yet? |

Title. Using QEMU 6.2.Proxmox, for example, does have this feature, but it's hardcoded in its own stack instead of QEMU commands.
After an internet search at most I found this: https://www.linux-kvm.org/page/Projects/auto-ballooning
So seems like an abandoned project...Currently the only way to do RAM ballooning is manually, through QEMU monitor by setting the "balloon" value.
So in the end I'm wondering, is there a way to send this monitor command since VM starting with qemu-system-<arch>?
Thanks.
