Mouse misalignment in host and virtual machine

The difference in mouse acceleration in my host and virtual machine is making the VM unusable. I tried a lot to find a solution online. The only related question i could find was this: https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/555082/host-mouse-pointer-not-aligned-with-guest-mouse-pointer-in-qemu-vnc . The answers mentioned didn't solve my problem.
I tried to search a bunch of keywords in the archives. But I couldn't find any related issue. Correct me if I am wrong.
