qemu default cache driver

Hi Folks,

Having spent a few days searching I am starting to arrive at the truly bizarre conclusion that there is no way to set the default disk cache driver/mode for qemu globally e.g. 'writeback', 'none', 'writethrough' etc.

It seems unthinkable that this would be the case and it was suggested take a view from the qemu mailing list so here I am having read everything else I can which makes no reference to it and having gone through the qemu.conf on a few different distros.

Am I missing something here?
