It's not that you're not asking correctly. You're not searching
correctly. Look in the documentation and the manual. But in the case
of Freedos, your options are limited. Usually, you could scp into a
guest, but I'm not sure you can run an ssh server in FreeDos. Your
only option is to use Virtual FAT disk images ( section 2.8.8 of
qemu-doc).
