I'm running an ubuntu 18.04 guest on a ubuntu 18.04 host with vnc graphics.
Some of the keyboard buttons aren't working properly, and I'm not sure how to
remedy it. Hoping someone here has an answer.
Biggest problem: Trying to enter pipe symbol (|) always comes out as angle
bracket (>). I have a generic US 104-key keyboard. I've setup the keymap on
ubuntu for US generic 104-key with no special keys. Two more keys have problems
as well, the open angle bracket (<) also comes out as (>). And on the numpad,
the 5 key does nothing at all. All other keys appear to be working properly.
I don't think it's an Ubuntu problem, because if I launch tigervnc server and
connect to that, the keys work fine.
What can I do to resolve this?
Thanks.
