[Qemu-discuss] raspi2 unable to mount root fs using latest raspbian imag

From: Jacob Yundt
Subject: [Qemu-discuss] raspi2 unable to mount root fs using latest raspbian image
Date: Fri, 24 Nov 2017 14:11:59 -0500

This could be related to a recent post[1], but I'm unable to boot the
latest raspbian stretch image ("2017-09-07-raspbian-stretch-lite.img")
using 2.11.0-rc2 (or master).

I'm using these args:

./qemu-system-arm -M raspi2 -kernel ~/stretch/kernel7.img -append "ro
earlyprintk loglevel=8 dwc_otg.lpm_enable=0 root=PARTUUID=11eccc69-02
elevator=deadline fsck.repair=yes rootfstype=ext4
console=ttyAMA0,115200 debug rootwait" -dtb
~/stretch/bcm2709-rpi-2-b.dtb -serial stdio -sd
~/stretch/2017-09-07-raspbian-stretch-lite.img

And I end up with this panic:

I verified that I'm able to mount the mmcblk0p2 ext4 partition on my
host operating system without issue. I also fsck-ed the ext4 partition
for good measure. I tried using different -drive/-sd flag options for
the raspbian image but get the same results.

Is this a known issue? Any other flags I could throw at this to get
more meaningful debug information?

Full console output[2] in case this is helpful.
