I suspect what you may be running into is "nobody
tests QEMU on Solaris". Hopefully the bugs are minor...

Note that we assume that "/bin/sh" is a POSIX shell;
it might not be sufficient to merely run the configure
script via a manually specified shell like this.

What does "pkg-config --modversion gthread-2.0" say?
(Perhaps you have glib installed but not its pkg-config
file?)
