I agree unfortunately. I think personally that Darwin is important (at least Darwin/VNC, I care zero about Cocoa and SDL) because it keeps us honest and avoids introducing unwanted Linux-isms. But if even Windows turns out to work better than Darwin, that is not a good sign.
Still, Andreas, please do try to get a report of how iothread works on Darwin with VNC graphics.
