Has anyone else encountered this probem with REGRESSION?

When running in syntax mode--no problem

When using the GUI pull down menu, the R2 always equals 1. 

GUI results on two variables in a 435 case file (first part of attachment--PDF 
file)

Results run from a syntax file created with File--New-Syntax (second part of  
attachment).

It seems that the IV, DV GUI does not create the complete syntax.  Only the 
Independent variable is listed in  'Variables" subcommand.
