[phpGroupWare-users] Where to put the Files dir on shared hosting

Hi folks,
I just installed phpGW on a free shared hosting (French ISP ovh.org).
I read in the documentation that the Files dir must be set outside the web 
root, however I have only access the root dir, I cannot go upside. :? 
Are there some people here who've installed phpGW on a shared hosting solution 
who can help?
