[phpGroupWare-users] phpGroupWare gets a Commercial Partner

Hi all,

This is just a brief message to let you all know that phpGroupWare has a
commercial partner - RsSight AS from Norway.  This is pretty exciting
news.  You can read more about it on my blog at

What does this mean for the project?
It means that we will have more people working on our code base, so
expect some new names popping up around the place.  ReSight will not be
taking over the project, they will be working with us so we all benefit.

Does this mean I will be a ReSight puppet?
Definitely not.  There will be times I make decision about the project
which benefit ReSight, but I will be clear about the reasons for this.
My primary consideration always has been and will continue to be - what
is in the best interests of the project.

Will this mean phpGroupWare becomes ReSightGroupWare?
No phpGroupWare will remain as it is.  ReSight may develop a branded
offering of phpGW, but that is their decision.  Other businesses have
done this in the past.

If you have any more questions, please feel free to post them on this
list and I will answer them for you.

I am excited about this deal and think others in the project will be
too.
