You raise several issues in the doc which might point to why sitemgr is
not working for you.

I have 4 sites running sitemgr - best example is phpgroupware.org (and
subsites)

I would suggest the you dump the doc - including your comments in to
wiki.phpgroupware.org and that will allow people to comment clarify bits
of it for you.  Please make sure that your comments are clearly marked.

The "img uninstaller app" was included for those sites who already had
the app installed in 0.9.14 or earlier versions.  In the past apps were
dropped from tarballs and CVS for a particular versions, then the
sysadmin had no way of uninstalling the app.
