What Chris suggests will add a custom field to all the contacts. It will be
stored in the phpgw_contact_other table and will be viewable from the other
tab when you are editing a contact.

It will not be viewable in the view contact screen nor will it be available to
use in the main person or org tab. I don't know how you would do this.

Maybe if you have the edit person/org screens to show all of the tabs on one
big screen, you could then see the "other" info just by clicking on the edit
button for a tab and not have to click further. Perhaps that would be
adequate for your needs
