The register_globals = on requirement is well documented.  It is in
phpgwapi/doc/php-configuration.txt and in many posts to the lists.

Yes, quite a few of the apps require it.  There is a lot work to fix it.
 *Hopefully* it can be done for the 0.9.16 release.
