like was mentioned earlier, there seems to be an MD5 auh problem with some 
config's
of courier and some versions of php-imap, though I don't know all the versions
affected.  My courier doesn't advertize MD5 auth so it's not a problem for me.

it is a courier based one running, and the courier pop runs no problem, wich 
leaves
me to believe that the authdaemon is all ok, and the imap should be ak as well.
