chat is only local.  For irc you'll need a java applet or some kind of proxy.

Same as chat, you'll need some kind of proxy.  A web page cannot maintain a TCP
session so the limitation is in the tool.

phpgw does add the domain if you choose vmailmgr style login, and doesn't if 
you don't.
