only actual bug fixes will be commited to CVS.  Mostly he as adding new 
features,
and in this one case the whole concept of the cache was worked over making it a 
new
feature.

If you want "latest and greatest" features are are willing to deal with an
occational bug I'd say go get the release from the anglemail.org website.
