Is there any easy way I can tell which version of squid thats running? I
don't have physical access to the os on the box as it's part of the os on
the satellite router.

which version of squid? I was using the one that comes with Mandrake 7.0
and now
I'm using the one that comes with 'drake 9.0. I have a T1 connection and
use phpgw
over it through squid all day long, 5 days a week with no problems at all.
