I am actually replying through PHPGW.  As for my configuration here it is: 
RH7.2,
courier-imap, PHPGW.9.14 and using SQL auth.  I orignally installed the default
email package which worked fined and then moved to Anglemail trying to get mail
authentication to work, to avail I might add.
