I must have missed your post this time.  I switched to Mail auth and
when login in I get Bad Login or Password.  My Maillog shows the
following:

Oct 15 08:57:23 ceej imapd: Connection, ip=[::ffff:192.168.255.2]
Oct 15 08:57:23 ceej imapd: starttls: accept: error:14094418:SSL
routines:SSL3_READ_BYTES:tlsv1 alert unknown ca

depends where the users are coming from.  You can setup mail auth to
auto create
phpgw accounts for you if the accounts exsist on the mail server.
