I had a similar problem in phpwebhosting trying uploading a file or 
creating a dir, caused by a bug in the API. I've submitted the patch to 
Version-0_9_14-branch (see details in 
http://savannah.gnu.org/patch/?func=detailpatch&patch_id=347&group_id=509). 
Maybe this solves your problem.
