[Phpgroupware-users] Troubles setting up IMAP for mail feature

Subject: [Phpgroupware-users] Troubles setting up IMAP for mail feature

Hi,

I installed and configured phpgw before I had IMAP installed. Now I've
installed UWash IMAP on Red Hat 7.2. I know that IMAP is running because I
can telnet into it and nmap reports IMAP to be listening on port 143. I've
gone into the Admin page for e-mail and specified my domain name, server
type, IMAP server type, and server login type (standard).

When I click the e-mail feature, the erro message I've been getting
(reproduced below) seems to indicate that I've not set up a user name
properly. Since I'm completely new to IMAP, and am having a hell of a time
finding useful documentation for UWash IMAP on the web, I'm not sure what I
should be doing here. In the default e-mail address field of the
configuration page, I specified the default user as a user that is both a
phpgw user (the one I'm logged in as) and a regular Linux account.

Am I also supposed to log in to the IMAP server and set up a new user there?
If so, can someone point me in the direction of some useful documentation on
how to do that with UWash IMAP? What am I doing wrong?

Here's the message I get when I try to get into mail:

Warning: Couldn't open stream {192.168.1.4:143}INBOX in
/www/sss/phpgroupware/email/inc/class.mail_dcom_imap.inc.php on line 214

Many thanks!!
