[Phpgroupware-users] Install problem

Here is the message I get when I try to run /phpgroupware/setup/index.php

phpGroup Ware version Setup III
You have not created your header.inc.php yet!
You can create it now.

No MySQL support found. Disabling
No Postgres-DB support found. Disabling
No Microsoft SQL Server support found. Disabling
No Oracle-DB support found. Disabling

did not found any valid DB support !
try to configure your php to support one of the above mentioned dbs or
install phpgroupware by hand

Running:
Redhat 7.2
Apache 1.3.19.5
MySQL   3.23.36-1
PHP 4.0.4pI1-9

I have created the database and have mysql running.  Apache and php are up
and working.

I have seen one post with the same error messages and having something to do
with having Samba installed.  I could not find the answer to the question
though.

Any ideas??
