[Phpgroupware-users] New management for phpGroupWare

Subject: [Phpgroupware-users] New management for phpGroupWare

In the last week, the management structure of the phpGroupware
project has been changed. This was voted upon in private amongst
the project administrators. Let this serve as semi-official
notice of this change, and an explanation of what is understood
currently about the new structure:

jengo, Seek3r, skeeter, ceb, and I are now officially the
leadership team for phpGroupWare. Anything that might be
construed as a management level change to the project's
direction needs to be voted upon by us as a group. This
includes the addition of new members to the project, changes
to the API code or overall functionality, commission to release
and HEAD branches of CVS, etc. The current arrangement requires
a majority vote of 3 out of 5, assuming no abstentions, etc.

The main way in which this is fundamentally different from the
previous arrangement is that no single individual can make
decisions on behalf of the group.

This is not intended as a slight to Dan's leadership of the
project over the last year or so in any way. In fact, he will
continue as our primary spokesperson.

But, as the project grows larger and more involved, it was felt
that a multithreaded daemon would be better able to serve us and
the public using phpGroupWare.
