i'm using windows so does compiling php still need to be done to get imap
functionality?

my boys book of php is on the way from amazon as i write this so hopefully
things will become more clear soon.. ;-)

sorry to ask what maybe silly questions but as you will know for windows
users all this stuff is a bit of a baptism of fire.
