Summary:  any stock symbol with $ can not be deleted

Original Submission:  i am having a problem with "stocks".  in preferences i 
have added "$INDU" which is supposed to give the Dow Jones Industrial averages. 
  The $INDU does not show on the stocks screen and can NOT be deleted using the 
preferences screen.
