I think your suggested solution is a good one, unfortunately this is a matter
for the debian package maintainers not us :(
I think the only config option would be to manually edit the #!/usr/bin/php to
#!/usr/bin/php4
Cheers
=================== BUG #4621: FULL BUG SNAPSHOT ===================
Submitted by: roz Project: phpGroupWare
Submitted on: Mon 08/04/03 at 11:25
Category: API - Documentation Bug Group: 0.9.16 pre RC
Severity: 5 - Major Priority: Normal
Resolution: None Assigned to: None
Status: Open Component Version: CVS
Platform Version: Linux - Debian Reproducibility: Every Time
Summary: php not found
Original Submission: On debian, the php script exectultable is not php, its
php4 or php3. This causes problems with the Async time services. Maybe a
configurable option is possible. The SIMPLE solution is a symbolic link (Which
debian shouldve probably done anyway).
