Summary: RedHat 7.3 IMAP errors

Original Submission: Running the CVS version of phpgroupware, when you access
the email section you see the following errors. This is independant of the
protocol selected in the email configuration page. This problem was fixed in
TWIG, which is an IMAP only reader, by defining the port as 143/notls.

Warning: Couldn't open stream {localhost:143/imap/ssl/novalidate-cert}INBOX
 in /var/www/html/phpgroupware/email/inc/ class.mail_dcom_imap.inc.php on line
214
There was an error trying to connect to your mail server.
Please, check your username and password, or contact your admin.

I have tried Anglemail and like what I see. The error no longer occurs
everytime I log on and enter email, however it does occur everytime(?) changes
are made to the email preferences. The error I receive is only the first two
lines give by the original poster. Note, receipt and sending email works fine.
Extra email pop accounts, do not work. Using fetchmail as a temporary solution.

I'm getting this problem, on the latest 0.9.14.001, trying to authenticate to a
Courier IMAP server.

This *Used* to work, on earlier releases. It's definitely *something* to do
with the notls parameter...but I can't see which file to edit to try this out.

Please try using anglemail, a drop in replacement for the default email app in
phpgw, I am pretty sure this has been fixed in anglemail. You can download it
from http://www.anglemail.com/
