Is there any chance email groups will find it's way into
the upcoming release, 0.9.16?
This would be really helpful to me, as I have not been able
to find any good web based email applications for Linux
that includes such functionality.

Could one use the "Category" grouping to achieve the same
effect?
I suggest when in "Send/Forward" mode, the Addressbook by
Category search should present a line like ALL : To, CC, BCC
BTW when I select Addressbook by category the message that
displays how many records were found shows x - x of x
