------------------ Additional Follow-up Comments ----------------------------
Seems to be something to do with the cookie that is set.... the cookie name
comes up at .org.au which IE does not like... The domain in question is
https://wireless.org.au which gets trimmed to org.au for the cookie...
=================== BUG #2009: FULL BUG SNAPSHOT ===================
Submitted by: None Project: phpGroupWare
Submitted on: 2002-Dec-18 00:39
Category: None Bug Group: 0.9.14.001 release
Severity: 5 - Major Priority: Immediate
Resolution: None Assigned to: None
Status: Open Component Version: BZIP2
Platform Version: Linux - RedHat Reproducibility: Every Time
Summary: IE cannot login to PHPGroupware
Original Submission: When trying to log into PHPgroupware on a https server
using IE 6 (and possibly IE 5.5) a user cannot get past the login screen. The
authentication is successful, but the user is returned to the login screen.
The Apache log for this event are:
210.49.243.249 - - [18/Dec/2002:15:37:35 +1100] "POST /groupware/login.php
HTTP/1.1" 302 14
210.49.243.249 - - [18/Dec/2002:15:37:35 +1100] "GET /groupware/home.php?cd=yes
HTTP/1.1" 302 5
210.49.243.249 - - [18/Dec/2002:15:37:35 +1100] "GET /groupware/login.php
HTTP/1.1" 200 2051
the function in question seems to be causing a 302 request in home.php which
causes IE to return to the login.php page.
Mozilla and possibly other browsers are not affected by this problem.
I have gone through the configuration with skwashd, but neither of us can find
any configuration errors. No errors were logged in apache's error_log, and no
PHP errors are occuring.
The Apache server is: Apache/1.3.26 (Unix) PHP/4.2.2 Mod_dtcl 0.8.12
mod_ssl/2.8.9 OpenSSL/0.9.6
I can be contacted via address@hidden for any more details...
