Sorry wasn't clear, am using tarball install of 9.14.001...
The problem seems to be format of the CSV or vCard file exported by OutlookXP.
If I do an import of the Outlook contacts into Netscape, then export that same
group of contacts as CSV, I can then import most of the resulting contacts
successfully into PGPGW addressbook.
So import from Outlook doesn't work, but Netscape workaround does. Thanks.

Submitted by: None Project: phpGroupWare
Submitted on: 2002-Nov-27 10:43
Category: addressbook Bug Group: 0.9.14.001 release
Severity: 5 - Major Priority: Normal
Resolution: None Assigned to: lkneschke
Status: Open Component Version: None
Platform Version: Linux - RedHat Reproducibility: Every Time
Summary: Addressbook import fails Apache version 2.0.40
Original Submission: Either with Ldap or Mysql for storing addresses, you can
add addresses manually fine. Import from Outlook function fails without any
error messages, just reloads the import page again. The same is true for
importing a Vcard. This behavior is the same with any browser

There are few issues here.
Firstly the rpms are for the 0.9.14.000 release. Please try with the new
0.9.14.001 tarball or cvs versions. We are currently working on getting new
rpms made.
If register globals on then import should work. This has fixed the problem
with sql based imports in the past.
I will get our ldap developer to look into the ldap issues with this one.
Cheers

+++++++++++++++++
Edit php.ini to include "register_global = On"
seems to fix this part.
Now: import errors out
Warning: LDAP: add operation could not be completed. in
