That sound's very strange. The cal does no extra or separate login / session
creation.
Which type of sessions are u useing php4 or db?
Where do u store the session Id: cookie or url?
Do you have 'show default view on mainscreen' enabled in your cal prefs? If not
none of the calendar code is called before u click on the cal-icon in navbar.
Can u try to to disable the cal on the start- / home-page?

Summary: Calendar causes login to hang on Apache 2.0.39

Original Submission: When attempting to log in to phpGroupWare via an Apache
2.0.39 server, the login process will fail if the calendar application is
enabled. Logging in via Apache 1.3.26 works OK, using exactly the same php
configuration options. Similarly logging in when the calendar app is disabled,
then enabling it.

When I try to log in with calendar enabled under Apache 2, a session is
created, which can be seen by a subsequent login using one of the other methods
described above. The action that is listed when I view the session is
"/phpgroupware/home.php". There do not appear to be any new log entries
generated for the login, either in the apache logs or the phpGW logs.

The only difference that I can see is apache itself - possibly something in the
calendar login procedure is not thread safe, and so is setting off a race
condition? Unfortunately I do not have enough experience with this project to
be able to track the issue down myself.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer.
