I use a cronjob that clears the /tmp dir at midnight. Php sessions also live a
bunch of stuff behind.

Summary: email leaves defunct (lock?)files behind

Original Submission: after some usage of email I find that the spool directory
of the server contains obsolete zero length files from previous sessions.
Plenty of something like: username.12345.0987654321.host
Some form of garbage collection should take care of that.

cheers
