------------------ Additional Follow-up Comments ----------------------------
Hey Larry,
After reading you email I tried exporting both Netscape LDIF and Outkrook CSV
English, both took around a minute to download over a 56k modem connection.
I exported around 500 contacts stored in mySQL on a server which has daul
PIII-800, 1G RAM and 40G RAID.
So my questions now are:
1 What version are you running?
2 When do you last run a cvs update?
3 Do you use SQL or LDAP for storing you contact data?
4 Have you modified any of the addressbook or phpgwapi contact classes code??
5 What are the specs of your server?
This info may help narrow down the cause of the problem.
=================== BUG #1086: FULL BUG SNAPSHOT ===================
Submitted by: llathey Project: phpGroupWare
Submitted on: 2002-Aug-27 03:14
Category: addressbook Bug Group: 0.9.14 release
Severity: 5 - Major Priority: Normal
Resolution: None Assigned to: None
Status: Open Platform Version: Linux - RedHat
Reproducibility: Every Time
Summary: Cannot Export Contacts
Original Submission: Can't export contacts - no matter what conversion type a
user chooses, debug output in browser produces the same error message. For
example, if a user selects "Outlook English - CSV" as the conversion type and
"All" for the category this is the error message they get;
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 90 seconds exceeded in
/var/www/html/phpgroupware/addressbook/inc/export/Outlook_CSV_-_English on line
107
A similar error message occurs no matter what conversion type is selected, the
only thing that is different is the name of the file where the timeout occurs.
The file that produces the timeout error is always the file that is responsible
for the specific conversion type.

Hey llathey,
I have never tried exporting contacts, but have you tried increasing the
maximum execution time in you php.ini. It could be that you have too many
contacts to be processed in the 90secs.
Let me know how this goes.
Cheers
skwashd
