Common problem with any PHP app, not specific to phpGroupWare.  However, the 
phpgwapi and most apps _do work_ without register_globals (this is since 
0.9.14), and we intend to fully support setups without register_gloabls.

Summary:  missing register_globals and  track_vars 

Original Submission:  newer PHP's (I believe > 4.2) need register_globals and  
track_vars set 
in their php.ini files, otherwise installation will not work.
This should be pointed out in the install documentation, because 
it's not obvious and very difficult to spot.
