Summary:  php sessions don't work

Original Submission:  at first after the fresh install of the system, i set the 
session managment to php, that won't work, and since i didn'T foudn where the 
custom session handler was coded i didn't found the location of the bug.

the save path uses an unset variable, thus:
Warning: open(0/sess_14445d421c6a654d9a28ed7c386bd615,
O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in
/usr/share/phpgroupware/phpgwapi/inc/class.sessions_php4.inc.php
on line 771

I have the same error when i tried to log in as Admin

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: session_register() in 
/var/www/html/phpgroupware/phpgwapi/inc/class.sessions_php4.inc.php on line 771

with phpGroupWare-0_9_14-RC4
