Hello there!

I am chief of leading Russian Web Studio - http://www.webzavod.ru (Оne of
our international works - http://musica.mustdie.ru)
We want to translate common and project managment specific applications for
russian language.
My employees know english, but we want to contribute to Open Society
something own.
BTW, there is serious bug (or feature), which doesnt allow russians to use
your system:

all pages are recieved in ISO-8859-1 and all russian text I entered (First
Name, Project name etc) automatically decode to UTF and every symbol takes 7
byte in database (Ӓ), as field for family - 50 chars, family max
size - 7 symbols! It is gruesome.

I didnt work with UTF yet, all our applications use Russian CP1251
codepage - is it possible use it for your project? I don't want store in
database this (Ӓ) abracadabra.

My programmers and myself has a good expirience in:
- mod_perl (http://perl.apache.org)
- template-toolkit (http://www.template-toolkit.org) - Wonderful template
system
- Mysql
- Oracle
We know expireware (IMHO) technologies for WEB (ISAPI, Delphi, ASP),
don't know PHP (We choosed mod_perl+Template-Toolkit because it is the most
clean solution for separating code and design at that time and for the best
integrating in Apache internals)
But your project is well thought-out, and I think we will feel PHP and can
contribute our additions and may be patches and suggestions.

Do you have suggestions about translating and how we can fix/correct/avoid
problem with coding >128 letters to Ӓ for starting use your project ?
