Hello.
I've been looking for some "high priority" project I may help and this seems
to be the one.
Thanks.
In short, I have experience in C but none concerning PDF files and font
formats. Completely new in this field.
No problem. A good background in C is all you need to start helping
the project.
So maybe I could start doing clean up or small bugfixes you consider trivial
to get familiar with code.
I wait for your advices on how to start.
First of all, get a copy of the PDF 1.7 reference from the adobe
website. Then, take a look to the roadmap of the project at
http://www.gnu.org/software/pdf/Roadmap.html and the development notes
at http://www.gnu.org/software/pdf/DevNotes.html
This is the actual status in the development: Hardy Falk is
implementing the PDF functions, Francisco Javier Rodriguez is working
in the crypt filters, Aleksander Morgado is working in the string
common data structure (including encodings) and I am rewriting some
parts of the pdf_stm data type and working in the lexer.
Welcome :)
